Calico

Calico fabric is a plain woven fabric made from unbleached seeded cotton. The flecks of cotton husk together with its natural cotton colour is what gives Calico its distinctive look. This multi-purpose fabric is often used for quilt backs as well as embroidery backing and crafts. Calico is known as muslin in the USA.
